Estevan police have addressed various incidents over the past two days, including thefts, disturbances, and safety concerns involving young residents.

On Monday morning, a bicycle was reported stolen from outside the courthouse, and a tip jar was taken from a downtown business. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, who is known to police, and the investigation is ongoing.

A young person has been charged with uttering threats related to an incident last Friday, where another youth was also charged with assault. The accused will face court proceedings at a future date.

Additionally, a male causing a disturbance at St. Joseph’s Hospital was arrested and held overnight. He is scheduled for release on Tuesday and will be charged with uttering threats.

Police responded to a report of two young children playing near the railway switches at the 13th Avenue crossing. The children were found and given a safety lesson about railways.

A 20-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication and held overnight for her safety. Another report involving theft and mischief among individuals known to each other is under investigation.

On Tuesday, the Estevan Police Service (EPS) responded to a non-reportable motor vehicle collision. Officers assisted the drivers in exchanging information for follow-up with SGI.

A complaint about breaching a non-contact order was received and will be forwarded to the appropriate agency, as the individual involved does not reside in Estevan.

Three youths were reported to have crossed railway tracks in front of a moving train. They were located and given safety education about the dangers of their actions.

An unidentified person was reported tampering with yards and possibly vehicles in the 1500 block of 3rd Street. Despite thorough patrols, the suspect was not found.

Two suspicious individuals seen in the 600 block of 4th Street were located, and no criminal activity was determined.

Lastly, the EPS received a report of someone calling for help in the valley between Cundall Drive and McCormick Crescent. Despite a search, the source of the voice could not be identified.
