Hi friends, my name is Candice Johnson and I am so excited to join the team at CochraneNow!
My family moved to Heartland in 2021 from Calgary. I am originally from Saskatchewan but my husband's family has been in Cochrane since 1997.
You may have heard my voice before on stations in Calgary like X92.9 and STAR 95.9. In Toronto, I produced The Kim Mitchell Show (yes, Go for Soda Kim Mitchell) on Q107 then hosted mornings at Indie88 and weekends at CHUM 104.5. I also narrated TV shows on HGTV, Bahamas Life, and Hawaii Hunters. I love reality TV, especially Vanderpump Rules, The Bachelor, Survivor, and Top Chef. I am also a big fan of card games like Crib and Phase 10.
I’ve been a part of this community since I met my husband, so let's say 15-plus years. I’ve always been in love with Cochrane and when the time came to settle down I knew there was no better place to raise our son. Sam is eight-years-old and loves Roblox, Fortnite, hip hop at Snap, and soccer.
You might also see us at the off-leash with our dog Woodstock, we also have a bearded dragon named Echo (who you will not see at the off-leash park).
My husband is Noel Johnson, a local business owner at Denim & Smith, across from Ducks in downtown Cochrane. My hubby is also a musician. He was the lead singer/songwriter for the now-defunct Toronto band Johnson Crook. Once a month, you can catch Noel solo at Rockyview Taproom. He is also a part of Cochrane’s only country band The Buckthorns, who performed at the 1st annual Bow Valley Bootstomp in Cochrane this past summer.
I can’t wait to hang out with you weekdays from 2-6 p.m. on 91.5 CochraneNow.
