A new season has begun for the Soo Line Boxing Club.

Anyone can try out boxing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Weyburn Youth Centre / TAGS gym. Participants just need to bring indoor shoes, water, and lots of positive energy.

Coach Clint Ducharme said the first class is free to try out, and the drop-in fee after that is $5, with an option for the full-season registration fee of $225 being payable over installments.

"We are not out to hurt people financially," he noted. "We have people from all over that come and go."

The Soo Line Boxing Club is a non-profit organization.

"We don’t make money and the money raised goes directly towards the club rent and equipment, as well as some expenses for competitions."

Regular classes will run until the end of May.

Ducharme added that they are working on dates for a 'little hitters' class for children 10 and under. Stay posted on those details on their Facebook page.
