Laura Blanche Humphrey (Kitching)

Peacefully on Tuesday, September 3rd, Blanche Humphrey passed away at the age of 90 at the Portage General Hospital.

Blanche was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on July 1st, 1934 to Robert and Elsie Kitching. She had six siblings, with her being the fourth oldest.
Blanche was a huge animal lover, especially cats. After she moved into her apartment and could no longer have pets, she would make sure she had enough peanuts to feed the squirrels, birds or any other critters that would come to her balcony.

Blanche was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anytime she would see them, her face would light up. She always looked forward to family visits when she was able to see them, never letting them forget how much she loved them.

Blanche will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Robert (Bud) Kitching of Calgary, Alberta, John Kitching and Billy (Gail) Kitching of Portage la Prairie, daughter April (Fred) Bereza of Portage la Prairie, grandchildren Damien Humphrey (Teresa) of Winnipeg, Devan Humphrey (Mike) of Winnipeg, Cori (Cam) Asham of Portage la Prairie, Carli (Ernie) Jeffries of Portage la Prairie, great-grandchildren Raeleen, Leia and Haiden Humphrey, Hunter, Cruz and Lily Jeffries and Hattie Asham, nieces, nephews and friends.

Blanche is also survived by her daughters Elita Krause and family, Shelly Ouellette and family and Tracy Burnett.

The family would like to thank the wonderful home care girls that took such great care of our mom, sister and grandma. You each had a special place in her heart.

A private family service has taken place.
