Put a fork in it... this wildfire is done.

The Fallentimber wildfire, about 25 km west of Water Valley is official extinguished. It was held to 48.8 hectares.

Thirteen wildland firefighters, two helicopters and a water truck were on the fire when it initially broke out in late July and was originally estimated to be 85 ha.

The size of the response team grew larger shortly afterward.

The Calgary Forest Area has benefitted from widespread precipitation, particularly in the northern sections. Wildfire danger is low, although officials say there may remain pockets where the wildfire danger is higher.
