Weyburn singer songwriter, Karissa Hoffart, is performing for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards (CCMA’s) next weekend in Edmonton Alberta.
“It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing for sure. This is going to be my very first ever CCMA award show and award week that I'll be going to as an artist. It's just really an exciting experience to be able to perform and showcase my talents and bring them all the way from Weyburn.”
Hoffart has performed all over the province, she highlights Dauphin’s Country Fest, the Gateway Festival in Bengough, and the Craven Country Jamboree, now known as Country Thunder Craven.
“...and then the community events that I love to put on and putting that school concert fundraiser on every year has really been some of the highlights.”
Hoffart says she looks forward most to seeing the talents of other Canadian artists.
“I'm looking forward to hearing all the amazing talent that Canada has as well as networking and meeting a lot of the people that I have been able to follow online and get to know across our beautiful country.”
When looking forward, Hoffart anticipates creating more music and showcasing her existing songs to people in the Canadian music industry.
“Moving forward from this just means more music, more writing, more releasing to the world and getting my sound out there and hoping to share a lot of inspiration and joy with the world."
“I would like to say thank you to all the fans that support my music and continue to support local Saskatchewan and Canadian artists. It's just so appreciated.”
