The Estevan Motor Speedway is gearing up for its last race of the season before they close the doors for the year.

"It's totally different than our normal program, but it's an opportunity for people that take a car off the street, do some safety modifications to it and just go and race at the much lower expense. So I think it, you know, it brings out a whole different crowd, maybe some of our race fans, and it brings out different people to Speedway because it's maybe not your typical person racing," shared Speedway president Brad Pierson.

30 racers have already signed up for this weekend's Enduro Race at the Estevan Motor Speedway. Pierson shared that he's never raced competitively before, but he's run through a few Enduro Races in the past.

He joked that while anyone can sign up, you can't just enter your regular, street-legal vehicle onto the race. There are safety modifications that need to be done and confirmed before a vehicle is allowed on the dirt.

"Well, you wouldn't want to put any street-legal car that you're still driving in because you're gonna remove the tires, the bumper covers, the windshield and, you know, the glass. You got to do a whole bunch of stuff like that. So, you're not taking your personal vehicle out there for the day and expecting to get it back and drive it to work on Monday."

The last chance to get your vehicle into to the race is tonight at 4:00 p.m. You can find the vehicle safety requirements and the form to sign up on the Estevan Motor Speedway's website. The race itself is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
