Update:

On Sept. 18, the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested 33-year-old Bradley Jerome Jerry on O’Chiese First Nation.

He was wanted for the Dec. 3, 2023, homicide of Sheridan Goodrunning on Sunchild First Nation.

 

Original Story:

RCMP have arrested a 26-year-old resident of O’Chiese First Nation in connection to the murder of Sheridan Goodrunning, which occurred on December 3, 2023 at the Sunchild First Nation Gas Station.

Another suspect remains at large.

Kyle Whitehorse was arrested on September 13, 2024, and has been charged with second-degree murder.

The initial investigation indicated that while at the gas station, the victim and a suspect got into a verbal altercation that resulted in the suspect shooting the victim. Police believed the shooting was the result of an altercation and a sudden escalation. At the time, there did not appear to be a discernable link between the victim and any potential suspects.

Bradley Jerome Jerry, a 33-year-old resident of Edmonton, is currently wanted for the murder of Sheridan Goodrunning. Jerry is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach and immediately notify police by calling 911.

Whitehorse was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled in court on September 16, 2024, via CCTV, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Vegreville, Alta.
