Red Deer local wins $250,000

Red Deer resident Elizabeth K is $250,000 richer after winning big on a Rose Gold Scratch & Win ticket.   

“I scratched the ticket and thought I had won $25,000, which was great,” she said.  

The winner asked her daughter to take her to the store the following day to double-check and scan her ticket.  

“It turns out I won $250,000!” she said. “I was in a total state of disbelief.”  

With her winnings, Elizabeth K has one main plan, and it’s to spoil her family.  

“I'm going to take my family to Hawaii,” she said.  

The winning ticket was purchased from Co-op South Gaetz Gas Bar in Red Deer.
