A strong solar flare over the weekend could bring about ideal conditions to view the Aurora Borealis once again.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts geomagnetic storms measuring at a G3 on the G-scale, which ranges from G1 to G5.

Chris Ratzlaff, administrator for the Alberta Aurora Chasers Facebook page, describes a 55 per cent probability of a "Full Sky Alberta Aurora."
Conditions are looking good, with the forecast calling for a clear sky with some clouds setting in overnight.
For the best view, seek out a spot in a rural area, away from the light pollution of larger communities.
