There's still lots of time to fill up your fuel tank for Boundary Co-op's FUEL GOOD DAY fundraiser for local projects and programs in each of these three communities:
-Boissevain School Playground Project
-Lakeland Regional Library in Killarney
-Deloraine Food Cupboard
"This year we are supporting 3 different communities with our Fuel Good Day, and how this works is Federated Co-op donates 5 cents and Boundary Co-op donates 5 cents," explains Boundary Co-op General Manager, Ryan Polnik. "So, every litre that is sold today at our gas pumps, it's 10 cents that we donated to our local organizations in our communities."
"It's a great day to support your local organizations and we really appreciate the opportunity to be part of the community in this way," he adds. "It's what makes Boundary Co-op a special place."
"It's been a fantastic day so far. It's been gorgeous and sunny all day long, perfect for our BBQ lunches and we've seen great support there," shares Cheryl Rushing, Marketing Manager for Boundary Co-op. "We've seen great support at the gas pumps too in all of our communities and people still have the opportunity to support these groups."
"So, pop in before closing time," she adds. "Our Deloraine gas bar closes at 9:00 pm and Boissevain and Killarney close at 10 pm. But any fill up before then, a coffee, a Slush, every little bit helps to support these groups!'
The $5 hotdog lunches contributed to each community's non-profit organization and 10 cents from every fuel fill up goes towards the fundraisers.... as well as $1 from every purchase of Co-op coffee and Slush!
