The Town of Okotoks is hosting a Winter Clothing Swap event this weekend.
It's a chance to save money and resources while also being environmentally conscientious ahead of the colder months.
The clothing swap will take place at the Environmental Education Centre, and people will be able to swap or shop for gently used winter clothing, shoes, and accessories.
It's scheduled for Saturday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All sizes of clothing for men, women, and children are accepted.
Gently used winter clothing can be dropped off at the Eco Centre this week until Saturday, September 21.
Clothing, outerwear, footwear, and accessories like scarves and toques, can all be donated.
For those who can make it to this weekend's event, the Okotoks United Church's 2024 Jacket Racket 2024 campaign is coming up, where donations of gently used winter clothing can be dropped off at several locations across town.
Sobeys, the Okotoks Public Library, Foothills Cleaners, Better Than Home Laundry, Save on Foods, Viking Rentals Centre (formerly the Centennial Arenas), the Okotoks United Church, Main Street Market & More, and the Okotoks Fire Hall on Milligan will begin accepting donations at the end of the month.
