A little outdoor fun is being offered tomorrow (Sept. 18) by 55+ Sports at the Frank Wills Memorial Hall, 405 1 St. E.

It's a chance to play some bocce and cornhole (beanbag toss) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. No registration is required, just come out and enjoy.

"We'll be outside, so people can come and join us and introduce themselves," says Dawn Baker, the recently appointed Area 7 representative of 55+ Zone 2 (Big Country). "We'll have a couple of bocce courts and cornhole set up. They can join in and learn to play the games, or if they've already played the games they can team up with people and have some fun."

Cornhole, or beanbag toss has been growing in popularity among all age groups.

Socializing remains an important part of all of the sports and activities offered by 55+ Sports, says Baker. It's a chance to catch up with old friends or make new ones while having a little bit of fun competition.

She says, you can even just drop by and hang out.

Offered is a free hot dog barbecue lunch. Donations aren't sought, but if received will be given to the Frank Wills Memorial Hall.
