The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Pembina River, including Walhalla and Neche, ND after heavy rain Monday when 100 to 150mm fell over the region. Water levels have been rising since the rain wrapped up Tuesday morning, and the forecaster has indicated flooding is possible.
As of last night, the river was at 10.6 feet, with flood stage possibly reached this afternoon which is 18 feet. 19 feet is Moderate Flood stage for the river, and some residential damage would be possible.
The Flood Watch will be in effect until Saturday morning.
