The 'Battle of Okotoks' was on last night with the HTA Knights hosting the Foothills Falcons for their annual clash.
The Knights, who have been on a complete tear on anyone they have faced, continued their undefeated streak, beating the Falcons 60-7.
In the first half, the Falcons defence was coming up strong as they limited chances for the Knights, but by the end of the game, it was all HTA.
Fans came in droves, with local students, parents, and friends all cheering on their school's team and even had a smoke machine set up for each time the Knights scored a touchdown. The atmosphere felt like a playoff game with the roaring crowd and extra flare brought to the game.
Canada Cup MVP Seth Poelzer seemingly couldn't be stopped. He would get two touchdowns and rush for 71 yards. Knights QB Declan Lyth completed 108 passing yards and added two touchdowns.
Ben Gutek took home the honour of player of the game as he made five catches for 101 yards, a touchdown, and recorded a 20.2-yard reception for his longest catch for the Knights. HTA also went the entire game without punting to the Falcons.
On the opposite side of the field, quarterback Emerson Liepert did his best to give the Falcons a chance, but the Knights didn't get away from their game plan, taking full control of the game.
The Falcons put up 110 yards with 81 coming from passing.
Chinook High School's Coyotes are next on tap for HTA as they host the game next Friday (Sept. 27) at 6:00 p.m.
The Falcons' next game is on the same day and same time, and they'll be hosting the Medicine Hat High Hawks.
