If it wasn't already apparent that summer is coming to an end, the recently-issued Frost Advisory is a sure sign.
Environment Canada issued the advisory for the Foothills County area on Friday afternoon (Sept. 20).
Temperatures are expected to drop down to freezing levels, so it's recommended that anyone with plants or trees susceptible to frost damage takes the necessary precautions.
"Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops," reads the Environment Canada website.
Despite Friday's heavy rain and the Frost Advisory, temperatures will jump back up into the 20s over the weekend, which will be the last weekend of the summer.
The first day of fall, also known as the autumnal equinox, is this Sunday, September 22.
