Selling lemonade went a long way in supporting the Alberta Children's Hospital, thanks to two 9-year-old Cochrane youth.

Braedan and Jack set up a lemonade stand over two hot sunny weekends in the Sunset Ridge and gave all of their earnings to the children's hospital. Last week, Braedan's mom brought the boys to the hospital to delivery their $198.50 donation in person.

They said they had plenty of fun during their visit and had their photo taken with a giant cheque.

"We rode a lot of elevators, and they gave us lots of stickers and tattoos," says Jack. "We covered my friend's leg with the stickers and then when we got back to his house, he pulled them all off."

Braedan has raised funds for charity in the past and this time around wanted to help a hospital that treats kids.

"I've already donated to the Humane Society, and I don't know of any other hospitals," he said.

The lemonade stand saw many visitors, but there's one patron who stands out in particular.

"He just asked for one glass of lemonade and handed them a $100 bill," says Jack's mom, "And then he drove off."

The boys say it was a rewarding experience and may do it again next summer.
