A biannual event which encourages women from across Winnipeg and surrounding areas to come together from all walks of life is back for a fourth event.

The Woman Everywhere Conference is a two-day event which features inspiring speakers, fun activities, and a time of worship.

Marta Bhopalsingh, who serves on the organizing committee says, "The vision came through our associate pastor's wife, to start women's gathering twice a year."

March 2023 saw the first Woman Everywhere take place. "March 8 is International Women's Day as everybody knows. And in September, being the start of many things in North America, we as women forget the true essence and reason of being. Often we get caught up in everyday life. Our Lord Jesus is describing His church as His bride, His most loved one. Women need to know and also be reminded like myself that God loves them beyond understanding and Christ loves His church. Women are strong pillars and they influence their surroundings everywhere they go. If only they get to know their potential."

Bhopalsingh says the conference was founded on three pillars. "Women have a special calling to serve God in all areas of life and ministry. Those are the three pillars for Woman Everywhere conference. You are loved. You have the potential to influence and you have a special calling to do beyond your limits."

The conference will feature speakers from around Canada, the United States, and Uganda. "We have prepared six amazing speakers. And more importantly, anointed speakers. Claudine Cintije, Marcia L. Barrett, Judith Anderson, Sheree Price, Cindy Kiganda, and Ange Bendera B. as well as three praise and worship groups joining us."

She says that each detail was carefully thought about, including the name of the event. "Some might ask why we're saying not in plural, but in a singular form, it's simply because we believe that salvation is individual. This is an individual and personal encounter. That's why we're just so strong on just one single woman as an individual."

As far as what Bhopalsingh is looking forward to, she says, "Connecting with other women, you know, sharing my experience, getting their experience. Sharing some life stories that they want to share with me. Just the connection between women. There's definitely a specific bond that we can have with each other, so I'm looking forward to it."

Woman Everywhere kicks off Friday, Sept. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. and then day two on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at The Wave Church at 364 Furby Street.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here or by calling the church office at 204-772-1785.
