Stretch of Lagimodiere to close Tuesday and Wednesday

A stretch of a busy Winnipeg roadway will be closed for much of the day on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

All northbound and southbound lanes of Lagimodiere Boulevard will be closed between Abinojii Mikanah and Capston Road from September 24 to September 25, 2024, for electrical work related to Hydro transmission lines.

The closure will facilitate necessary upgrades to the infrastructure, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during this time.

Will open for rush hours

While the lanes will be closed throughout the day, they will remain open during morning and evening rush hours to accommodate commuter traffic.

City officials recommend that drivers exercise caution and be aware of changing traffic patterns in the area.
