Winnipeg Jets sign Cole Perfetti to new deal

Cole Perfetti remains a member of the Winnipeg Jets after signing a new two-year deal. 

The contract will pay the 22-year-old $6.5 million over the two years. 

The Jets shared the news of the signing on Monday night.

The new deal comes after Perfetti was sidelined during the first five days of training camp. 

Last season, the Whitby, Ont. native appeared in 71 games last season and recorded a career-high 19 goals. 

Perfetti will take to the ice for the first time in training camp on Tuesday.
