He was born in Peterborough, Ontario, and grew up in the nearby community of Burleigh Falls. He later attended Lakefied High school where he met the love of his life Iris. Together they shared his love of the outdoors in and around Lovesick Lake. They married in 1964 and eventually moved to Weyburn in 1974 where they raised their 3 children. In 2009, he and Iris retired to Maple creek. Winston made many cherished friends over his lifetime. Dad was a prankster and loved to laugh. He was also a kind and gentle soul. His eyes and smile could light any room. We were truly the lucky ones to have him in our lives. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nursing, and homecare staff at the Maple Creek Hospital. We will be forever grateful for the compassion you showed him and our family. A special thank you to Dr. Sotoudeh. You treated him with such understanding and kindness. He respected you immensely. Minawaa giga-waabamin. I will see you again. As per Winston's wishes, there will be no funeral. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.binkleysfuneralservice.com
