Hundreds of gorgeous cars and trucks of every make and model will be rolling into High River this weekend.
Over 1,100 vehicles entered last year with more expected this year.
The 3rd annual Brian Chipchase Sr. Memorial Show N' Shine hosted by River City Classics is set for this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There's something new this year too with a dinner and dance happening on Saturday night.
Live music and the dinner and dance cost $40, but that includes dinner from one of the many food trucks set up in front of Eamon's Garage and the Call of the West Museum. Metrobeat will be pumping out the tunes at the Call of the West while an acoustic performance along with wine and cheese will be featured at Eamon's Garage.
However, all the excitement starts on Saturday morning with the parts swap meet starting at 9 a.m. and running until 3 pm. at the Call of the West Museum and Eamon's Garage at the High River Ag grounds.
The Burn Out is also coming back Saturday afternoon but at a new time from 1 to 3 p.m. at the same location of Centre St. North at 7th Ave South.
Barricades will be put up in the morning courtesy of Shawnee Excavating, so it will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event.
All the cars are given a safety check before being allowed to do the Burn Out and it's $20 for each car. Bring cash.
This year they've partnered with the Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival too and River City Classics will have their raffle car on site at Friday night's Balloon Glow.
It's a 2006 Cooper Mini S convertible and raffle tickets run $20 each or 6 for $100. The draw will be made on Sunday afternoon at the Show N' Shine at 2:30 p.m. That's also the same time the awards will be handed out along with announcing the winner of the 50/50 draw.
Sunday, of course, is the big day for the Show N' Shine starting at 10 a.m. and running right until 4 p.m. Vehicles will be able to register at two locations this year too which is also new. The original location in the CIBC parking lot is still where many will register but a table will also be set up in George Lane Park.
The price hasn't changed yet either, just $20 per vehicle, and you're asked to please bring cash.
And if you want to avoid the struggle of trying to find a parking spot because all of downtown will be closed to traffic there's a free shuttle offered at the east parking lot at Co-op.
