Napoleon Joseph Boutin
May 5, 1933 – September 22, 2024
Napoleon ‘Nap’ Boutin passed peacefully at the Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt Saskatchewan, in the early hours of Sunday, September 22, 2024, with family at his side. He was 91 years of age. Nap was the second child born to Jean Marie and Irene (née Tessier) Boutin on May 5, 1933, in Domremy, SK. He grew up on the family farm and received his education at the Ethier School and Domremy High School. Nap held many roles in his lifetime, from farming to forestry, management to real estate, many lifelong friendships were made. He was an active member of his community and was most proud of his contribution as one of the founding members of CADAC (Carlton Trail Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council). He was also honored to serve his faith family as a member of the Knights of Columbus, acting as Faithful Navigator from 2012 – 2015. Nap lived a full life. He took every opportunity to further his education. His travels took him throughout Europe, across Canada and the US. In his later years he enjoyed many risky adventures with his good friend and bucket list wingman, Danny Scott. Sky diving at 82 was one of the most memorable - he often shared the YouTube video, where pure joy was clearly visible on his face. With failing health, the last few years were often difficult, he met those challenges with grace and gratitude! Nap is survived by his four children and their families: Bill (Maggie) and their daughter Rebecca; Nap and his family, Christa (Clay Ness) and children Brooklyne and Brodie, and Cara and her children Deagen, Tikka and Colt; Arlene (Peter Krentz) and their family, Jenn (Shun Asakura) and children Kai, Jai and Ellia; Janelle and her son Christian, Colin and his children Graciana and Axton, and Nigel (Brittany); Annette and her daughter Anika, stepson Rick (Mary) Grieman their family, Jonathon, and Kerri, step-daughter-in-law Susan Grieman and her family, Kaitlyn (Byron Goodsman) and their son Creighton, and Haley (Quinn Moat-Moskaluke); siblings: Marina Bussiere, Rose Anne Grenier (Simone Gaudet), Fred, and Isidore (Clarisse); sister-in-law Lucie; numerous nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends he considered his children: Lawrence and Lucille Boutin, and their family whose friendship and support throughout the years is greatly appreciated.
