PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Just a reminder that RCMP DO NOT do child abuse and adult abuse registry checks. RCMP is responsible for criminal record checks and vulnerable sector checks. You require a vulnerable sector check if you are in a position of trust. You must present to the detachment when applying for a vulnerable sector check.
Position of Trust means a paid or voluntary position dealing with vulnerable people. Vulnerable people may include children, youth, the elderly, people with physical, developmental, emotional, social, or other disabilities, people who are addicted or dependent on addictive substances, and people who have been the victim of a crime or an accident.
Applicants who require a Vulnerable Sector Check from their organization must present themselves in person and provide written consent in order for the checks to be conducted.
Proper identification must be produced and recorded on the application: a government issued photo identification for the Primary Document, and a secondary document which verifies the Primary identification.
YOUTH CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS
Criminal record checks cannot be done on youth unless working in Government. It has been established that non-provincially or municipally run summer camps and pools, public/private schools including colleges/universities are not government employers.

Police received a report of an intoxicated person on someone’s lawn in Ninette. Police attended and provided the person with a ride home.
Police responded to a call under the mental health act in Killarney.
Police received a report of mischief in Killarney. Members attended and spoke with the people involved and the matter was concluded.
September 2, 2024
Police responded to a request for police assistance in Killarney. The matter was concluded.
Police received a report of a tractor fire in the RM of Argyle. Police were not required to attend.
Police received a report under the family orders and agreements act. The complainant called back prior to police attending and the matter was resolved.
September 3, 2024
Police responded to a 911 call for a traffic collision in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. The parties involved were not injured. The matter is under investigation.
Police responded to a call under the fire prevention act in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. A trailer that had previously been involved in an accident had caught fire. There were no injuries, and the matter is currently under investigation.
September 4, 2024
Police received a report of a suspicious person in the Margaret area. The matter is under investigation.
Police responded to a call for an assault in Boissevain. Upon arrival both a male and female were arrested and lodged in cells. The female was released without charges. The male was released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
Police received a report of theft in Deloraine. The matter was concluded.
September 5, 2024
Police received a report of fraud in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. The matter is under investigation.
Police received a report of a break and enter in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. Police attended and spoke with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of failure to comply with court order in Boissevain. The matter was unfounded.
September 6, 2024
Police received a report of uttering threats in Boissevain. Police followed up with the parties involved and the matter is currently under investigation.
Police received a report of fraud in Killarney. The complainant received a call from amazon stating his card had been compromised however there were no suspicious charges on his card. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of a suspicious person in Boissevain. Police patrolled the area and located the person. The matter was concluded.
Police responded to a call for an assault in Killarney. The matter is under investigation.
September 7, 2024
Police received a report of a break and enter in the RM of Whitewater. The matter was reported for information purposes only.
Police received a report of a possible motor vehicle collision in the RM of Prairie Lakes. Police attended the location however there was no evidence of a collision occurring.
Police received a report of theft of fuel in Boissevain. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of mischief in Waskada. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a 911 call for a motor vehicle collision in the RM of Prairie Lakes. The matter is under investigation.

Police received a report of theft in Boissevain. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of mischief in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of mischief in Ninette. Police spoke with the parties involved however the complainant declined to proceed with charges.

Police responded to a 911 call for a missing person in Belmont. All parties were located safe.
Police responded to a 911 call for a dangerous driver in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. Police patrolled the area however were not able to locate any vehicles.
Police received a report of a break and enter in the RM of Deloraine-Winchester. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call under the customs act in the RM of Brenda-Waskada. A male was located and arrested under the customs act and was turned over to Canada Border Services.
Police responded to a 911 call for a missing person in the RM of Cartwright-Roblin. All parties were located safe.
September 10, 2024
Police received a report of a theft of truck in Neelin. Police followed up with the complainant to collect additional information however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of theft in the RM of Argyle. Police attended, however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of a traffic collision in the RM of Grasslands. The matter is under investigation.
Police received a report of mischief in Waskada. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a report of a fraud in Killarney. The complainant was contacted via phone and were told they had an outstanding bill with best buy/geek squad. The complainant was directed to pay the outstanding balance using apple gift cards. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police responded to a call for theft of gas in Boissevain. Police patrolled the area for the vehicle however were unable to locate it. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received another report of theft in Killarney. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of a suspicious person in Boissevain. The complainant was reporting for information purposes.

Police responded to a 911 call under the 911 act in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. A female and child were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police responded to a call for a motor vehicle collision in the RM of Prairie Lakes. There were no injuries and the matter was concluded.
Police received a report of a suspicious person in Killarney. Police patrolled the area and located the person described by the complainant. Police spoke with the person and the matter was concluded.
Police received a report of a vehicle driving without due care in Boissevain. Patrols were made in the area however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police responded to a call under the customs act in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. Police were able to located the vehicle in question and have them return to the border.

Police received a report of a break and enter to a business in the RM of Grassland. The matter is under investigation.
Police received a request for a wellbeing check in Killarney. All parties were located safe.
Police received a report of an intoxicated person in Killarney. Police patrolled the area. A female was located, arrested and lodged until sober.

Police responded to a 911 call for an assault with weapon in Killarney. A youth female was transported to the hospital, and a female youth was arrested and released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

September 22, 2024
Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. Police attended and determined there was nothing suspicious with the vehicle. Tape was placed on the vehicle to indicate police had attended.
Police received a request for a wellbeing check in Killarney. Police followed up with the complainant however were not able to reach them therefore the matter was concluded.
Police responded to a call of a motor vehicle collision in the RM of Prairie Lakes. Police attended and located the vehicle however no one was located with the vehicle. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. Police patrolled the area however the vehicle was not located.
Police received a report under the customs act in the RM of Deloraine-Winchester. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
