Practically every day, Cochrane has new residents arriving from around the corner and across the globe.
There's always questions when you arrive in a new community, but fear not, the Cochrane Immigrant Services Committee has your back.
On Saturday, Oct. 5, it's holding its semi-annual Welcome Event at the Cochrane Public Library from 2 to 4 p.m.
A wealth of information will be available from local government agencies and organizations to help you adapt to your new home.
"It's a great opportunity for people who are newcomers to learn about the services available," says Paul Singh, an ambassador for Cochrane Immigrant Services Committee (CESC). "It's especially valuable for people who are moving from a different part of the world."
"It's important when new people come here that they get the right information from the right people in Cochrane. Immigrant Services provides that platform."
