It’s been seven years since the Weyburn Agricultural Society announced its first Flavours of Fall and this year, they are bringing it back and planning for it to be as big and fun as ever.
"It just keeps growing every year and we're happy to have so many vendors, locally and from across the province come and show their food and beverage samples,” said Lisa Vick with the Agricultural Society. “It's just a night of food, beverage, local entertainment, and just a lot of fun socializing, getting together with your family, i's Thanksgiving weekend, so bring your family out, and meet up with your coworkers. It's just going to be a great night.”
This years event takes place on October 12th at the Ag Society’s Exhibition Hall. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the party continues until 1:00 a.m.
Along with many vendors, there will also be some entertainment throughout the night.
“This year, we have Pat With His Guitar,” said Vick. “That's Pat Acton. He's a local guy who is going to do some acoustic stuff with his guitar and then to finish off the night, we have a band called Wildfire coming in to light the party up and get everyone on their toes.”
Tickets for the event went on sale earlier this month and will be available for purchase leading up to the event.
“You can go buy a ticket at Pharmasave or we have a new online option this year that you connect through our Facebook page or the Weyburn Agricultural Society website,” noted Vick. “Tickets are only $20.00. So for $20, you get in the door, you get the entertainment, you get access to all the food and beverage vendors and then it's a token service.”
She also noted that all the proceeds from the event go back to the Weyburn Agricultural Society to help with their maintenance and events throughout the year.
Barber Motors will also be offering safe rides throughout the evening to and from the event.
Vick noted that they are still accepting vendors.
“We would still take a few more if they were around and if anyone local is interested in coming and showing what they have, of course," she said. “Everything is on our website, the Weyburn Agricultural Society website, or we have a Flavours of Fall Facebook page where you can connect with us."
