A frost advisory has been issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada to start the weekend for Airdrie and the surrounding area.
Overnight temperatures are expected to fall to or below zero degrees Celsius, resulting in patchy frost.
"Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees," stated the advisory.
When temperatures are predicted to drop below freezing during the growing season, frost advisories are issued to prevent potential harm and destruction to crops and plants.
