The first-ever Repair Cafe in High River fixed a lot of items and brought thanks and gratitude from the community.
Friends of the Library member Nick Salmon organized the event after being inspired by ones held in Okotoks.
Dozens of people showed up with items that needed tender loving care.
Salmon says he was also really impressed with how many volunteers came out to help.
"Nine fixers came in; some great support from the community bringing in their items and actually doing some good donations to the Friends of the High River Public Library Society."
People brought in DVD and CD players and everything you could imagine. It was well received by those who took up the offer with payment by donation.
"We had a 1987 JVC Boombox come in, but we weren't able to fix it. Oh, and then we had a 1950's toy tractor that she was looking for a new tread for it. That had all the fixers surrounding her just looking at the tractor because of how cool it was."
The High River Library also set up some of the gadgets they have available to the public.
The event ran from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday at the High River Library in the W.O. Mitchell room.
Due to the success of it, Salman says they're looking at doing another in the future.
