The 12th annual Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival ended on a high note Sunday.

All 22 balloons lifted off from the Macleod Trail launch site shortly after 8 a.m. with the Eye of Ra balloon acting as the 'hare' while the rest of the balloons take chase.

A few hundred spectators were on hand to see them go up on a somewhat chilly but beautiful morning filled with sunshine and a few clouds.
