The 12th annual Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival ended on a high note Sunday.
There was even a mini balloon up to entertain the crowd while the actual hot air balloons were getting ready to fly.
All 22 balloons lifted off from the Macleod Trail launch site shortly after 8 a.m. with the Eye of Ra balloon acting as the 'hare' while the rest of the balloons take chase.
A few hundred spectators were on hand to see them go up on a somewhat chilly but beautiful morning filled with sunshine and a few clouds.
While the balloons were only able to get up twice over the seven potential chances it still was well received by the crowds.
And the planning is already going on for the 13th annual festival.
The balloons landed south of 12 Avenue on Sunday morning.
