The Carstar Okotoks Bisons were up to their old tricks with a 7-0 dominant victory over the Coaldale Copperheads on Friday night (Sept. 27) and then strung another win on Saturday with a 5-2 win over the Cannex Cochrane Generals at Murray Arena.

Easton Dean of the Herd scored a hat-trick on Friday night with Sam Callahan, McCallum Bakken, captain Jake Snashall, and Ethan MacIntyre all getting on the board with goals. Dylan Walker made 28 saves for the shutout against the Copperheads. Trevor Bonham, Caden Scott, Ethan Burgeson, Ty Russell, Adam Kirkpatrick, Zephyr Laplante, Hunter Cobb, and Owen McFarlane all came away with points on the night as well.

The Bisons played their style of game finishing off the first period with a 21-5 lead in shots. The final shot count for Friday's tilt was 43-28 in favour of the Herd.

On Saturday, the Bisons went down 2-0, thanks to Christoper Ugbaja getting two goals in the first period for the Generals. That didn't stop the Herd as they would go on to score five unanswered goals in the win. Callahan got two goals in the contest with Dean, MacIntyre, and Jady Shigehiro getting goals on the night. Kaelan Bodnarchuck, Brandon Jarman, Snashall, Cobb, and Scott getting points with helpers.

Walker got the win after making 19 saves, the final shot count was 46-21 for the Bisons.

Okotoks will hit the road this weekend with games in Rocky Mountain House to face the Rocky Rams on Friday (Oct. 4), and then they will travel to Ponoka to take on the Stampeders on Saturday night at 8:30.
