The St. Mary's Villa Foundation and Cottage Boutique are partnering up for the annual charity fashion on Sunday at the Legion Hall at 2:00. Doors open at 1:00.
This will mark the seventh time the St. Mary's Villa Foundation and Cottage Boutique have worked together with the fashion show.
There will be a 50/50 draw on Sunday afternoon, tickets may still be available to purchase at Sunday’s fashion show. They are available at the Co-op C Store, Cottage Boutique, Villa office or any board member.
A raffle draw will also be held at the fashion show and every ticket purchased for the event will be entered in a draw for a $200 gift certificate from Cottage Boutique along with a snack donated by Sobey’s.
St. Mary’s Villa Foundation Executive Director Donna Muench says the proceeds of the fashion show will go towards a new building and the equipment fund for the St. Mary’s Villa Foundation.
“We started this campaign a few years ago, we know we are getting a new building soon, we hope, the official announcement hasn’t been made, we have to raise approximately $5 million for that amount.”
Muench continued, “so we started early ahead of the announcement, so we will be ready when it does, right now we’ve raised over the last few years, we’re at about $800,000, so we have a ways to go.”
The fashion show has been a successful venture between the St. Mary’s Villa Foundation and Cottage Boutique according to Muench.
“We’ve done six fashion shows with Cottage Boutique, and they have helped us raise over $33,000 from the proceeds of those events, we’re really grateful to them for helping us do that, it’s been a great event and a great partnership.”
There are still a few tickets left for Sunday’s fashion show, they are available at Cottage Boutique.
