Accidents and intersections.
It's an issue Manitoba has dealt with at numerous spots along the Trans-Canada highway. Some see more accidents than others and the volume of traffic is often coincides with number of collisions and close calls.
While some are uncontrolled and have stop signs only for those entering the main thoroughfare, medians can vary in size, some have turning lanes, some have roundabouts while others have stop lights or an overpass.
While the #1 and #5 intersection at Carberry and the #1 and #16 always seem to be in the spotlight, St. François Xavier Reeve Delmer Nott recently spoke out about the dangerous conditions at the intersection of the #1 and #26 near his growing community. Nott stated something needs to be done soon before there is a major catastrophe.
