Betty & I had a chance to get back to my old stompin' grounds a week ago. We spent time in Piapot, Maple Creek and Cypress Hills on the west side of the province. It was a trip we'd been looking forward to simply because we 'd be seeing friends we haven't seen in a long time.
I did pretty good recognizing most, but I messed up on a few throughout the day in Piapot. A lot of the conversations reflected on memories and lots of laughter with so many good friends. In a quick calculation some of these friends hadn't been seen for 40 plus years. It's amazing how you don't miss a beat and pick up the relationship like it was yesterday. The day in Piapot raced by and our cheeks were sore the next day from all the laughing. It felt so good to re-connect!!!
We found some time to slip up to Cypress Hills Provincial Park for a few photos and a quick tour around the hills. We managed to make a new friend while there...
