Cochrane’s own Lindsey Hopkins has locked in a top ten spot in a contest that could see her artwork tuned into a puzzle sold across the country.
The local artist beat out 120 other entries to lock in a spot in the Villager Puzzles Instagram contest that is all about elevating women artists.
“Villager Puzzles was looking for female artists who wanted to have their art on a puzzle for her spring and fall puzzle release, so I gave it a whirl,” says Hopkins. “I threw in my ski chalet illustration and I got shortlisted from 120 artists all within Canada, all female. So it's pretty amazing. I feel really lucky.”
“We are now down to the nitty-gritty with only 10 artists, we have to get as many votes as possible to win.”
Voters just have to go to the VILLAGE PUZZLES Instagram post and write in Lindsey’s number ‘6’ in a comment to vote.
“Cochrane is the most amazing community I have had so much support. I posted it on one of the mom pages and people that I don't even know are just going and voting and following my Instagram. it's so helpful for a small business. Just get those likes and follows and comments.”
