The Cochrane Chaos junior female hockey team had a key win early in the season against a north division rival over the weekend.
The Chaos remain undefeated in their first three games and are on top of the AJFHL south division.
The Chaos beat the Edmonton Wolves, 4-1, at home on Oct. 5. They capped off the weekend with a 5-1 win against the Foothills Storm.
Cochrane held a 2-0 lead until the 15:66 mark of the second when Bridgette Hetu scored the Wolves' lone goal.
Chaos sniper Sarah Gaiser scored a pair with singles coming from Teah Workman and Alyssa McCasey.
Sunday in Diamond Valley, the Chaos took a 5-0 lead into the third before Chayse Misana scored for the Storm.
Kaylee Stagman had a pair of goals for the Chaos while Sarah Gaiser, Hannah Bratrud, and Zoe Walker each scored one.
The Chaos are on a north division swing this weekend. Saturday, they face the undefeated Fort Saskatchewan Fury before heading to Sherwood Park to play the Steele on Sunday.
Their next home game is Oct. 19 against the Foothills Storm for the first in a home-and-home series.
