Murray Douglas Patterson aged 70 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, surrounded by family. 

Murray was born August 8th, 1954, in Moose Jaw to Harold and Reta Patterson.  He never left Moose Jaw as it was the only place he wanted to be.  In 1972, Murray married Marge Spendlow and in 1973, they welcome their first child, Mike, followed by their daughter, Darla in 1975. 

In 1981, disaster struck Murray when he fell from the Trans Canada Roller Rink roof.  Through many surgeries and much pain, “Big Mur” always had a smile and kind words for everyone.

He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Reta; and siblings: Goldy, Joan, Garry, Rodney, Linda, and Lyle.  Murray will be missed by his wife of 52 years, Marg; son, Michael; daughter, Darla; grandkids: Carter, Kennedie, Chance, Tailand, Beth Joey, and Steven; as well as many great-grandchildren and friends. 

A Come and Go Memorial Tea will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Murray’s name may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
