Gallery: Foothills stargazers treated to another look at the northern lights

Another nighttime spectacle was on display on Monday (Oct. 7) evening.

Recent solar activity has generated geomagnetic storms over the last few nights, providing more glimpses at the aurora borealis.

Monday night's display included glimmers of red peaking out through the usual emerald beams, a fairly rare sight when viewing the northern lights.
