It's that time of year once again when influenza and COVID vaccinations become available.
Today (Oct.8) is the first day you can book an appointment.
Walk-in clinics will open up beginning next week. (Tues. Oct. 15).
Appointments can be booked through the SHA Patient Booking System found at www.4flu.ca or by calling 1-833-727-5829.
Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations are available, free of charge, to residents of the province aged six months and older. Children aged six months to five years can only be immunized at a SHA public flu clinic, public health office or by a physician or nurse practitioner.
You can book an appointment for yourself or for up to five additional family members through the SHA Patient Booking System at www.4flu.ca or by calling 1-833-727-5829 Monday to Friday.
Influenza and COVID-19 immunizations will be available at participating local pharmacies and some physician and nurse practitioner offices.
Some reminders when you are attending a walk-in clinic.
-If possible, bring a valid health card
- wear a short-sleeved shirt
- expect to wait for 15 minutes after your vaccine
- consent forms if needed are available at clinic locations
- clean your hands upon entrance
