The HTA Knights junior squad were handed their first loss of the season when they visited Lacombe to face the St. Paul Lions.

The reigning tier four Provincial champions, the St. Paul Lions took the game 42-20 against the Knights. After the first half, the Knights were down 13-0. They would get 20 points in the second half, but it wasn't enough to edge out the Lions.

Dan Bowers and Brendan Petersen would each cross the endzone for touchdowns in the second half. Erza Kornelsen a former Lion but now a Knight scored against his former team for a touchdown. Ryerson Power stood tall on defence, getting a pick against the Lions' offence.

The Knights JV squad played a total of seven games this season and came away with a 6-1 record. In previous years the JV Knights team played a max of two to three games during a season, so they saw a significant upgrade with games played and allowing the junior team more time to develop.

With the seventh season game finished it could be the end of the season for the JV team although their Instagram teased that more games could be in the works.
