Cochrane RCMP out this long weekend

The long weekend is here and Cochrane RCMP want to remind you to stay safe on the roads. 

Inspector Dave Brunner says that speed, distracted driving, impaired driving and not wearing a seatbelt can all lead to injury and or death. 

Speed is involved in one-third of all vehicle fatalities and looking at your phone for the average 5 seconds it takes to read a text is like driving the length of a football field with your eyes closed.
