Two vehicles were involved in what turned out to be a collision followed by one of them, a pickup, driving onto the lawn of a home and into a hydro pole at the corner of 5th Street SE and Queen Avenue.

Portage Fire Department Captain Todd McKinnon explains the black pickup was heading west.

"The other one was going south. The westbound vehicle ended up losing control and moving onto a lawn. On that corner there was a hydro pole that it sheared off at the base, causing the pole to be, basically, hanging by the wires across the vehicle. We were able to get hydro on scene as well as towing."

He adds nobody was injured as a result of the collision.
