The Oxbow Farmers Market’s 4th Annual Fall Festival is set for October 19 at the Oxbow Community Hall, featuring a day filled with local vendors, family activities, and a special fundraising initiative. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s festival aims to raise funds for a new gazebo at the market's summer location, a project embraced by the community. "We are super excited to continue doing this, and our community has responded so well year after year," said Marilyn Simons.
The market has reached capacity with 50 vendors offering a wide array of goods, from fresh produce and baking to handmade crafts, quilts, and Indigenous artwork. “We are maxed out at 50 vendors and we've even started a waiting list, so we're pretty pumped that it's going on and that so many people want to be involved,” Simons added.
In addition to the vendors, the festival will feature a soup and sandwich fundraiser, a kids' activity area sponsored by the Expressway Family Centre, and a photo booth. The women’s empowerment group, Her Place, will also be hosting an open house, offering mini tattoo sessions.
The Pumpkin Wagon will make an appearance just in time for Halloween as well, adding a seasonal touch to the festivities.
