Dale Raymond Ebner

The death of Dale Raymond Ebner, 88 years, of Bruno occurred on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Humboldt District Hospital with his family at his side. Dale was born on May 11, 1936 at Bruno to Adolph and Mary (nee Louis) Ebner. He grew up in Bruno and attended school there. Dale ventured out to BC where he worked for a few years and eventually made his way back to Bruno. He met Arleen Diebert, fell in love and married her on November 19, 1958. They were blessed with a family of six – five sons and one daughter. Dale worked at numerous jobs over the years, including the Turkey Hatchery, Dana Radar Base, Mosaic Mine at Colonsay and as a truck driver. He farmed through the years and then eventually rented out his land. He loved to drive anywhere - around the countryside for a leisurely outing, going to auction sales, and camping. He was a very social person and loved to visit with others. Dale was a collector of old tractors of many kinds, however Olivers were his favorite. He had regular tractors as well as model toy tractors in his collection. Dale was overjoyed to welcome grandchildren and great grandchildren into their lives. Spending time with family was always a highlight for Dale and Arleen. Dale will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 65 years, Arleen Ebner; five children, 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren: Jaye (Sandra) Ebner and family Carly and Laurel; Trent (Michele) Ebner and family Shauna (Lee) Huber and children Hayden and Keira, Dustin (Megan) Ebner and children Ethan and Lahna, and Tara (Darryl) Cluney and children Sadie, Cohen and Sophia; Cory (Shelley) Ebner and family Rider and Shaye-Lynne; Holly (Jeff) Megyesi; and Dave (Carrie) Ebner and family Capri (Carter) Beck, Cole and Carson; sister-in-law Phyllis Ebner and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Mary Ebner; son Dean Ebner; grandson Riley Ebner; brother Russel Ebner; parents-in-law George and Kate Diebert; sisters-and-brothers-in-law: Viola (Ed) Sand and Ramona (Clarence) Weiman. The Funeral Service for Dale was held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bruno Community Hall, Bruno, SK. Memorial Donations in Dale’s memory may be directed to the St. Bruno Cemetery Fund or Humboldt District Hospital Foundation - General Equipment Fund.
