A call to Okotoks RCMP about a suspicious vehicle resulted in two arrests.
On Thursday (Oct. 10), Okotoks RCMP responded to the suspicious vehicle call, finding two people sleeping inside an SUV.
It was parked on the side of the roadway with a sunshade blocking the view into the vehicle. Officers soon discovered that the SUV had been reported stolen from Calgary.
Two people have been charged as a result of the investigation:
Jordan Scott, 34, of Calgary, has been charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamineAlyssa Abbott, 28, of Calgary, has been charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Fail to comply with a probation order
- Fail to comply with a release order x3
Scott is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Okotoks on November 8, with Abbot scheduled for an appearance on October 15.
