A Spirit of Inclusion award was presented on Friday by Inclusion Weyburn to the organizers of the Weyburn Travelodge & Brothers Classic Grill Charity Golf Tournament.
During the presentation, Inclusion Weyburn President Jackie Wilson said the funds raised for their organization emphasizes that 'inclusion matters. The funds will go towards paying their 20 staff for their summer day camps.

"To think that before 2018, all those years before, kids with intellectual disabilities, their parents didn't even ask. They didn't even ask to go register, and it's not the fault of the people that run the camps, because they didn't have the training or experience working with these kids so, the families are so appreciative of the community, everybody in the community, to show that support to include them," shared Wilson.
The organizers in June contributed $14,185 to Inclusion Weyburn following the tournament, with the same amount also donated to Envision Counselling & Support Centre.
With just a one-day event, the funds were raised through the 70 golfers participating, who then brought their significant others to the dinner, which included a live auction.
While the event ran for 20, this year's was the last.
"It was a lot of fun," said George Siourounis.
He said he's hoping another business will take it on going forward, so the money raised can stay local.
"If they don't keep it local, they will not get support. It's very important. We raise this money locally," he commented. "It's local. Local golfers, local businesses. Local."
Brad Wheeler said he hopes somebody else picks up where the Siourounis brothers left off, as it does add a lot of benefit to the community.
