The Order, a made-in-Alberta film, has released its official trailer. The film was shot north of Airdrie in Didsbury, as well as in Calgary, Bragg Creek/Kananaskis, and the Drumheller/Dorothy areas.
The film stars Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore) and Nicholas Hoult, who most also starred in critically acclaimed black-comedy horror The Menu.
The Order is based on the book The Silent Brotherhood, written by award-winning journalist Kevin Flynn and co-author Gary Gerhardt. The book chronicles the inner workings of one of the most dangerous domestic terror groups in the United States, named The Silent Brotherhood.
Oscar-nominated American screenwriter Zach Baylin wrote the screenplay for the movie, with Director Justin Kurzel, who directed Assassin's Creed and Macbeth, starring Michael Fassbender, directed the thriller.

The film is set in the early 1980s, following a series of violent bank robberies across America's Pacific Northwest, which leave law enforcement struggling to pin down the suspects. An F.B.I agent (Law) who works out of the bucolic town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, begins to suspect that the bank heists are not for financial gain but are carried out by a group of domestic terrorists and are being inspired by a cult-like, captivating leader (Hoult).
It will be released in theatres on December 6.
