Morgan Wiebe, one of Etherlan's organizers, couldn't be more excited about the upcoming event. "It's always gotta be a 10," he said when asked about his excitement level. "For me, it's really just a weekend to get together with friends and share a common interest in video games. It’s about enjoying something that we used to do when we were kids and still do to this day."
What to expect at Etherlan 2024
The event is set to feature a variety of gaming options, catering to both casual players and competitive gamers. There will be tournaments for popular video games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Halo, Rocket League, and even the classic Call of Duty 2. For those who prefer tabletop experiences, Settlers of Catan and other unique board games will also be available. "You don’t have to be a professional gamer to come to this," Wiebe assured. "As long as you enjoy video games or board games, this is the place to be."
Supporting a worthy cause
Etherlan isn’t just about gaming; it’s about giving back. All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting The Bunker Youth Ministry and its ongoing efforts in Puerto Rico. Wiebe explained the connection: "Harold, who’s one of the key organizers, is from Puerto Rico. He’s seen firsthand the challenges the community has faced, especially after the massive tropical storms. We want to keep supporting them as they rebuild."

For just $30, attendees can gain access to a full weekend of gaming, with the fee being tax-deductible. To make the event even more accessible, concessions will be available at wallet-friendly prices—think pizza, snacks, and drinks starting as low as $1.
