The Foothills Bantam Eagles have clinched a playoff berth with their 40-6 win over the Calgary Mavericks on Saturday morning (Oct. 12).

The Eagles finished the regular season with a 6-2 record and outscored their opponents 322-127 in the process.

They are tied with the Airdrie Raiders for most points scored during the season. The Calgary Colts finished first in the division with an 8-0 record followed by the Stampeders, Raiders, and then Eagles for the final playoff berth in the first division.

The second division has the Wildcats and Bulldogs clinch as the Cowboys, Lions, and Rebels fight for the final playoff berth in Division Two.

In the 40-6 victory for the Eagles, Liam Norman was named player of the game for the Foothills bantam team.

The Eagles will have a bye week and then face the Colts for their playoff game on Saturday evening (Oct. 26) at Shouldice Artificial Turf Hellard, with a kickoff of 4:00.
