The leaves may be falling now, but the daytime temperatures won't be dropping for the next few days.
We are expecting above normal high temperatures throughout the week.
Environment and Climate Change Canada Meteorologist Danielle Desjardins explains the warm October trend will continue.
“We got an upper ridge that is bringing in some unseasonably warm air to most of Saskatchewan but especially to the southern and central parts of the province.”
The average high temperature for this time of year in Humboldt is 10°C, but Desjardins noted we see temperatures close to 20°C this week.
Wind speeds will be variable throughout the week. Desjardins noted on Tuesday wind gusts were near 60 km/h. She expects the wind to be calm on Wednesday before regaining speed on Thursday, possibly reaching the 60 km/h mark.
We shouldn’t have to worry about seeing frost over the next couple of days with an overnight low of 5°C, but that could change by the end of the week with a low of 2°C expected for Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures are expected to be cooler starting at the beginning of next week, Desjardins said on the positive side, we shouldn’t expect to see snow soon, adding the only precipitation is a small amount of rain next week. There is a possibility the northern section of Saskatchewan could see some traces of snow but added that it will be a small amount of wet snow that will likely melt soon after touching the ground.
