The Weyburn Cooperative Playschool is hosting their annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser this Saturday at Jubilee Park. Karly Foth, board member for the playschool, says the event will boast a variety of fun, fall, activities.

“We have pumpkins for sale, which are graciously being donated by Josh and Lexi Manil. We have bouncy houses from Castle and Coast Rentals. We have a petting zoo. We have pony rides. We have face painting. We have a whole bunch of little games aimed at  that age group for play school. We have lots of little fun activities. We've got some snacks and hot chocolate and coffee for adults.”

The cost to participate is by donation with exceptions for a few events.

“Any cash donation would be great. Certain activities, like the pony rides, are going to be $20 a ride. We have a little photo shoot area, where we have a professional photographer there that'll be taking five photos for $20 amongst our pumpkins. So a cute family photo opportunity. Everything else like the bouncy houses, the pumpkin, the popcorn bar, all those other things are just donations.”

All funds raised will go directly to funding the operation of the playschool.

“The Weyburn Cooperative Playschool is a non-profit organization. All of the funds that we raise throughout the year go directly back into the program. Rental fees for our facility, paying our teachers salary, buying supplies for the classroom. It's all of the things that we do each year, our activities for the kids, the supplies for the kids.”
